  • Notes
    • Dr. Charles H. Bibighaus was born in Bucks County, Pa,, September 4, 1811. He commenced reading medicine under Dr. J. W. Gloninger, Lebanon, Pa., after which he entered the Medical University at Albany, N. Y., from which he graduated, and received his diploma in 1834. He was a man of untiring zeal, a hard worker and a close student. Although hv. died in the prime of his life, he stood at the very top of his profession, and at his sudden death, being stricken down with the cholera after eight hours' sickness, he left behind a sorrowing family and a very large circle of friends and acquaintances, who felt that his loss could never be repaid. He died July 11, 1854, and was buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Pa.
