- Mrs. Elizabeth Freeby, widow of Lewis Freeby, died yesterday morning at the home of Lloyd Reinert, near Topton. She was aged 74 years, 5 months and 6 days. She was a daughter of the late Ezekiah and Lucy, nee Hill, Turner, and was born in Schuylkill county. Her husband preceded her in death five years ago. She was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Longswamp church, and is survived by a son John, of Mertztown R. 1; a daughter, Mrs. Warren O. Romig, of Allentown; a brother, Tillian, of Schnecksville, and five grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock, daylight saving time, at the Reinert home. Further services will be held at the Longswamp church, with Rev. W. F. Bond officiating. Interment in the Shamrock cemetery.

The remains of Elizabeth Freeby, of Longswamp township, were laid to rest at Longswamp church on Tuesday, April 26, after services at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Reinert, near Topton, where she had made her home. She was a daughter of Hezekiah and Lucy (Hill) Turner and was born November 16, 1857, in West Penn township, Schuylkill county; baptized in infancy by Rev. E. A. Bauer, sponsors, the grandparents, Jonathan and Salome Hill; confirmed in Zion's Reformed church, West Penn township, by Rev. Abraham Bartholomew, Nov. 19, 1881, and married to Lewis Freeby on August 18, 1883, by Rev. D. K. Humbert. She passed away as the result of apoplexy on Friday, April 22, aged 74 years, 5 months and 6 days. There survive one son, John, of Mertztown R. 1; one daughter, Mrs. Warren O. Romig, Allentown, and one brother, Tillian Turner, Schnecksville. Director Irwin d. DeLong, of Topton, was in charge. W. F. Bond officiated.
