      Bio: John was the son of Joseph Fox and Christina Reimel Fox. He married Maria "Mary" Magdelena Fenner around 1831 in Pennsylvania. John moved his family to Park Township in St. Joseph County, Michigan in 1850 from Northampton County, Pennsylvania. Approximately three months after making the trip to Michigan, John died unexpectedly, leaving his widow and eight children with land that he had purchased, but no home or outbuildings built to provide shelter.
